Facts vs fiction about possibilities to accelerate orthodontic tooth movement non-surgically
Accelerating orthodontic tooth movement has acquired a great deal of attention by academic orthodontic institutes and clinician orthodontists. This presentation will cover recent techniques and devices that have been claimed to accelerate orthodontic treatment including Wilckodontics, micro-osteo-perforation, vibration (high and low), photo-bio-modulation and low intensity pulsed ultrasound. Also, the presentation will cover regular and accelerated orthodontics using clear aligners without any devices. What worked, what did not and why.
